Operating a forklift is a hard and specialized job that requires specific expert skills, training and experience. Not every person can operate a forklift. When you are getting in or out of the forklift, make sure to look above and check that there is no danger.

The next suggestion is to make sure that you keep your hands and feed inside the forklift operator's cabin. This will make sure that you don’t hurt yourself if you drive the forklift close to some object. Also make sure that you drive the forklift very carefully, especially if there are people around. Due to the size and weight of the forklift you can cause a lot of damage in case of an accident. Be especially careful when you drive backwards and when you park the forklift.
